Hatherhop Castle Evacuee Day

7th October 2014

Pupils from Hatherop Castle School in Cirencester experienced life as WWII evacuees earlier this term.

The children dressed in 1940s costumes and visited nearby Winchcombe Station, where they took a steam train ride and met with a real evacuee.

Among the highlights of the day was a mock air raid, where pupils heard the sounds of bombers and V1 rockets.
