Holme Grange Pupils – Inspired by SATIPS Art
A selection of Art pupils from Holme Grange School have enjoyed a creative workshop held in the SATIPS Art Exhibition, which has opened at Cheltenham College Preparatory School.
Featuring over 400 pieces of artwork, from large collaborative works to delicate 3-dimensional pieces, by artists from Reception classes through to Year 8 pupils at prep schools all over the UK, the Exhibition will take pride of place at Cheltenham Prep until 6 May 2016.
“The exhibition is full of outstanding work by children and has been a real inspiration to our Art scholars,” said Caroline Saynor, Head of Art at Holme Grange.
Cheltenham Prep were proud to welcome many of Holme Grange’s pupils and their families over the Exhibition’s opening weekend, as part of a ‘Friends and Family’ event which attracted over 500 visitors to the coeducational nursery and prep school on Thirlestaine Road in Cheltenham. Members of the wider school community also attended a VIP Private View, which saw the exhibition being opened by world-renowned local artist, Sophie Ryder.
“The SATIPS exhibition is always fantastic, and this year’s display has been no exception,” said Head of Art at Cheltenham College, Alayne Parsley. “The opening weekend has been overwhelmingly successful and we’re now looking forward to hosting workshops and art lessons with a number of local schools over the next two weeks. I hope Holme Grange pupils have been impressed and inspired by their visit to the exhibition today!”
