It’s ‘the good life’ at Slindon College

15th November 2016

Slindon College were delighted to welcome two new residents to their animal kingdom this week.

Thirteen week old weaner piglets, Margot (a British All-Black) and Barbara (a Berkshire)  joined the existing animal community of ducks, chickens, donkeys and alpacas and will help to extend the pupils’ knowledge and hands-on practice in their Land Based Studies.

Maureen Sargeant, Head of Horticulture & Land Based Studies said “We are delighted to welcome Margot and Barbara to the school – it is such a bonus being able to work with live animals rather than just facts and figures,  in the lovely rural setting we enjoy.  Our students gain a great deal from the experience”.
