Scarisbrick Hall School will be hosting a world-class concert given by international jazz stars Dennis Rollins (trombone) and Alan Barnes (Saxophones/clarinet) on Saturday, January 21.
These two heavy-weights of jazz will be backed by the North West based Swingshift Big Band, directed by Phil Shotton, musician in residence at Scarisbrick Hall School. Students from the school and the surrounding areas will be taking part in a jazz masterclass workshop during the day, led by Dennis and Alan. The student’s work will be showcased during the first half of the concert, followed by Swingshift and the guest artists. The concert will end with all musicians taking part for a roof raising grand finale!
