This is a workshop about the changing role of school secretaries and administrators, what actually comes under the school administration umbrella and how you can best support your school.
It used to be that roles were defined within the school office, but nowadays we need to be able to turn our hands to all manner of tasks from meeting and greeting, to filing, to supporting senior staff during inspection, to HR, to administering first aid, to taking notes at meetings, to data management.
When it comes to inspection, and the additional regulations relating to compliance, it is crucial that these tasks are undertaken correctly and that staff know who is responsible for what.
This workshop is for all administration staff within a school – PAs, School Secretaries, Administrators, Reception Staff. Ideal for anyone new to school administration or those expecting a school inspection in the near future.
Programme will include:
- Roles and responsibilities – Administration within schools and the skill set needed
- Supporting the HR process in schools – in regards to compliance and safer recruitment
- Supporting Senior Staff in the run up to inspection, compliance updates, how to stay ahead of the game
