Residential Conferences and Courses
The Autumn Study Conference is open to all categories of ISA Members and Senior Leaders. The Annual Conference is open to ISA Members, Honorary Members, School Associates, Interim List Heads and Life Associates. Please note that the Heads' Induction Course is by invitation only.
The cost of these residential conferences and courses can be found by accessing the individual conference or course on the ISA website. The fee includes accommodation, meals and conference fee.
Methods and terms of payment
We take payment by BACS or cheque. Upon receipt of your booking details, we will issue an invoice which will be emailed direct to the person who made the booking. Payment is due 30 days from the invoice date, except for bookings made within 30 days of the course date for which invoices must be paid immediately so that payment is received prior to the course.
For the Annual Conference, Autumn Study Conference and Heads’ Induction Course all hotel payments are paid directly to ISA, with the exception of any extras, for which the delegate is responsible for settling with the hotel on departure. The choice of residential course and conference options is fixed and cannot be varied.
Confirmation
Written confirmation of places will only be issued on receipt of full payment. The email that you receive to confirm your payment and booking will act as the "entry ticket". Please print a copy for each named delegate as this will be necessary for registration on the day.
Cancellations and amendments
Amendments to bookings must be notified in writing to fiona.turner@isaschools.org.uk at least ten working days before the course date.
Day course cancellations must be notified by email to courses@isaschools.org.uk. A substitute delegate will be accepted providing he or she meets the required criteria. If no substitute is offered, schools will be liable for the full cost of the course. If a cancellation is due to an impending ISI inspection, please notify ISA immediately. ISA does not offer a refund but a place of the same value in subsequent courses or conferences in 2012 to 2013 can be booked. ISA will accept no responsibility for delegates’ accommodation or travel costs.
Residential Conference cancellations must be notified by email to ghavini.mistry@isaschools.org.uk. Hotel accommodation is refundable up to 28 days prior to the start of the residential conference. The refund of hotel accommodation costs after the 28 day period will be subject to the discretion of the venue. Conference fees are not refundable.
No refund will be given in the event of non-attendance or for attendance for part of a day.
Cancellation due to extreme weather conditions or exceptional circumstances
ISA reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule a course in exceptional circumstances. In the event of cancellation due to extreme weather conditions, ISA will notify delegates using the personal contact numbers and email addresses provided at the point of booking, no less than 24 hours before the registration time for the event. Delegates are advised to check the ISA website home page for cancellation information.
A full refund of the course fee will be provided where delegates are unable to attend any alternative date(s) offered. However, ISA will accept no responsibility for any travel or accommodation costs incurred.
