Rising stars

The Towers Convent School in West Sussex has been thrilled by the recent successes of two rising stars.

Sophie Sparkes, a talented composer and musician in Year 10, auditioned for a place at three of the Music Conservatoires in London and was delighted when all three accepted her. Guildhall, The Royal Academy of Music and Trinity School of Music all offered her places and Sophie has accepted the Royal Academy.

Meanwhile Nina Dallyn in Year 5 entered a writing competition for those aged 16 or under, organised by The West Sussex County Times and sponsored by Arthur Lodge Vets.  The theme was pets and Nina wrote about chickens and ducks and won the competition. Nina won £100 for herself and £200 for the school. She would like to become a journalist.
