Adcote School Receives ‘Eco-School Silver Award’

15th July 2015

The Adcote School ‘Eco Team’ have completed an environmental review of the School covering the nine Eco topics: Energy, Water, Biodiversity, School Grounds, Healthy Living, Transport, Litter, Waste and Global Citizenship. From this they have created an Action Plan showing energy usage of the School in detail with timescales, targets and identifying who is responsible for implementation of agreed strategies.

The Silver Award criteria are detailed and include a requirement for ongoing monitoring and evaluation as well as cross curricular action. The Silver award has focused on strengthening pupil leadership and whole School involvement, including contributions from the Junior School.

The girls will continue now working towards the Green Flag Award.
