England Fencing Squad Success for Bishop Challoner pupil, Amelia Dudley

Congratulations to Amelia Dudley who England Fencing are proud to announce will join the squad representing England at the Challenge Wratislavia tournament in Poland in March 2016. Amelia is one of only 12 girls selected for the England Fencing Squad in the Epée Under 15 Girls category.

Fencers are ranked by age weapon (foil, épée or sabre) and gender and Amelia will be representing England in the épée event in both individual and team competitions.

Amelia, a Year 10 pupil at Bishop Challoner School in Bromley, is delighted at the selection and is honored to be representing England. Amelia said: ‘I feel proud to wear my England Fencing Stripes and I am looking forward to competing with the team in Poland.’

Amelia trains four evenings per week with Kate Morwell-Naeve, who is the Head Coach at Invicta Fencing Club in Deal, and she also attends the gym for fitness. For the last two years Amelia has competed almost every weekend. This dedication to regular performance training has paid off in the selection period for Amelia, securing her place with strong results from competitions around Great Britain.
