St. John’s pupils raise over £5,000 in three months for Great Ormond Street Hospital

Pupils at St. John’s School, Billericay have raised a phenomenal £5,049.08, in one term, for Great Ormond Street Hospital.   Each term pupils at St. John’s School, Billericay support a different charity and hold various fundraising initiatives to raise money.

Last term pupils raised over £500 by holding a cake sale, took part in a non-uniform day and a number of sponsored events. “We are delighted to have been able to support such a wonderful charity raising money for a world renowned hospital that undoubtedly saves children’s lives every day. Our pupils, as always, have shown a true spirit of generosity and kindness”, said Mrs Armour, Head Teacher.

Judy Kuhl, representative from Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, thanked the pupils of St. John’s and explained to them during a special assembly how the money raised will go to help projects at the hospital.
