Following the ISA National Triathlon at Lucton School last week, the team scores have been calculated. The top five positions across any age group were accumulated with the lowest scores ending up winners.
In a closely fought Overall Girl’s competition, eventual victors were Gateway School who finished with an impressive total of 19 points, including a 1-2-3 in one age category. They edged out the Lucton girls who finished second on a very respective total of 27 points and Dixie Grammar who finished 3rd with a points total of 33.
In the Overall Boys competition, hosts Lucton School were unstoppable in accumulating a remarkably low total of 7 points that included three first placed boys. They were followed by Dixie Grammar School who finished 2nd with a total of 23 points and St James on 33 points respectively.
Well done to all competing schools and individuals for completing a tough course in unpredictable conditions. Rhys Davey said afterwards “This is the first triathlon I have been to that it has hailed at!” We hope to see you all there next year where we ask for everyone to wish for better weather!
