A group of Ditcham Park School Juniors recently departed for Serre Chevalier in France for an exciting ski trip.
Their hotel was situated very close to the gondola, which took them straight to the top of the mountain and guaranteed snow. Like all resorts snow had been poor – but fortunately all slopes were open, with the use of snow cannons.
The students had a fantastic time and after their ski lessons they spent their evenings doing fun activities such as swimming, visiting the village, bum-boarding and ice skating. They also enjoyed savouring the local delights of crepes and hot chocolate!
At the end of the week the pupils attended an awards evening for their progress on the slopes, including awards for the best wipe outs and falls off of drag-lifts!
Ski trips are very special opportunities and this trip has once again given the pupils a wonderful experience and many precious memories.
