20th March 2017

Hulme Hall Grammar School in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire was once again delighted to host this year’s North ISA U11s High 5 Netball Tournament 2017.

This tournament has gone from strength to strength over the years, with entries doubling to an exciting 15 team competition this year!

Once again the sun shone in Cheadle Hulme and we were treated to friendly and supportive play from mixed teams hailing from as far afield as Wirral, Merseyside, West Yorkshire, Oldham, Cheshire, Bury, Burnley, Salford and Rochdale.

Greenbank  Prep from Cheadle Hulme, were voted by many teams to be the friendliest team with the best approach to sportsmanship. Certificates were duly awarded to their captain for winning the Fair Play competition.

The Hulme Hall Year 10 Sports Leaders were out in force talent spotting again and noted how versatile today’s High 5 players were, demonstrating a range of skills from sharp shooting to dominant defending and excellent mid court movement skills. We awarded individual ‘Player of the Tournament’ certificates to three players who stood out from the rest! Lois from Firwood Manor School, Freddie from Forest Prep and Ali from Wilmslow Prep.

After playing a Preliminary Round of netball, teams were ranked and placed into 3 Leagues – Premiership, Championship & Division 1.
