After an exciting tournament at St Georges Park for the ISFA Girls Cup National Finals, we would like to express how proud we are of how you all competed. We believe that you all showed a true level of determination and really did hold your own against some tough teams. In the U11 Tournament representing ISA we had Malvern St James, Coopersale Hall, Hale Prep, and Southbank International School Kensington. Everyone played extremely well, with Coopersale Hall and Southbank International School Kensington making it through to the semi-finals!
In the finals we saw Southbank International School Kensington take on last year’s winners Royal Russell. This was a very close match and went down to a penalty shootout, with Southbank International School Kensington coming out on top with a 3-2 Win. We can confirm that this is the first time an ISA school has won an ISFA Cup Final.
In the U13 Tournament representing ISA we had Queen Ethelburga’s, Red House, Shoreham College and LVS Ascot. The standard in this group was high, with each of the ISA teams working together to stay focused and play a high level of Football. Sadly, none of the U13 teams made it through to the final this time, but they really did excel throughout the day. Shoreham College finished third in Group A with Queen Ethelburga’s finishing fifth. In Group B LVS Ascot finished fourth, with Red House finishing fifth.
As new organisers to the ISA Girls Football Cup Qualifiers, we were blown away by how engaged every team was with this competition. We really want to strengthen this competition for future years to further enhance your experiences as staff and students. Any feedback from both the Qualifying rounds and the ISFA Cup Girls Football Finals would really help us to achieve this aim. We would also like to request for any photos taken on the day to be sent through to us here at ISA, so that we can use these in our next newsletter or post them on our website.
