Success at the ISA East Region Art Competition

In October the children from the Ursuline Preparatory School, Brentwood had the opportunity to enter their artwork into the ISA Eastern Region Art Competition. Children from Transition (Year 2), Lower One (Year 3), Upper One (Year 4) Lower Two (Year 5) and Upper Two (Year 6) produced individual and group pieces.

Mrs Graham, Head of Art was delighted when it was announced that Carlos Boxall’s ‘ 2D Bird Scene’ was Highly Commended, with the children from Lower One – Upper Two awarded 2nd place for their group art work, “In Print” and the children from Lower Two also awarded 2nd place for their ‘3D Pyramid’.

The school were overwhelmed to hear that Alexander Wells’ photograph ‘Nature’ and Lower Ones ‘3D Butterfly” were presented with 1st place.

The 1st place pieces will now be entered into the National Art Competition, which will take place before the end of this academic year.

Mrs Wilson, Headmistress, is very proud of her budding artists and the hard work that they have put into their group and individual pieces and wishes them well for the forthcoming competition.
