Annual 20p Coin Trail in Aid of CAFOD

11th November 2019

Once again, the children of The Ursuline Preparatory School in Brentwood held their annual 20p coin trail in aid of CAFOD (The Catholic Agency for Overseas Development).

The children have been saving their 20ps over the last few months and we even had a few children saving since our last coin trail, in anticipation of this very popular fundraiser.

Each school house took turns to place their 20ps in rows along the length of our school hall with Upper Two (year 6) adding the final touches with their coins.

St Patrick’s were thrilled that they managed to have nearly four lines stretching the length of the hall, making them the house winners.

Mrs Pauline Wilson, Headmistress, was overwhelmed by the generosity of the parents and children from the school, as they have collected a staggering £1,053.40 for this very worthwhile charity.

A representative from CAFOD visited the school to show the children how their 20ps will be helping disadvantaged people overseas and a cheque is now on its way to them.
