Ursuline Prep Warley, Harvest Festival 2021

As part of the Harvest Festival celebrations at the Ursuline Preparatory School in Brentwood, pupils, their families and staff have all contributed to charitable causes that have helped a local food bank and an organisation who help the homeless.

Families of pupils kindly donated food and drink items like dried food and tea and coffee, which were then passed onto the Brentwood Food Bank.

Mrs Isabelle Parker-Litjens, the Deputy Head for the school, who educate boys and girls of the ages of three to 11, has been overwhelmed by the generosity of students and their parents:

“We are very happy that we can help and support such an amazing cause, especially during these very testing times.”

The staff at Ursuline Preparatory also supported Caritas Anchor House, a charity that helps homeless people, by enjoying a “soup lunch” arranged by Deputy Head Mrs Sarah Macdonald.

Staff conquered the feast of homemade soups and bread that were on offer in the school dining room, with each member of the Ursuline Preparatory team making a financial donation, which totalled £140.

Mrs Sarah Macdonald is thankful to the staff for contributing to such a worthy cause.
