Drama Competition

The ISA Drama Competition is an annual celebration of the dramatic arts. ISA Members’ schools from across the country perform live in competition with one another. Each performance is then assessed by an independent judge against set criteria.

Drama Competition 2022

The Drama competition 2022 is scheduled to be held live in two rounds:

South: Luckley House School, RG40 3EU – 29 and 30 March 2022
North: Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate, YO26 9SS – date tbc

Opening date for entries: Wednesday 13 October 2021
Deadline to enter: Thursday 13 January 2022

The Drama competition 2021 was held online. Well done to everyone who took part despite the circumstances and congratulations for providing such brilliant performances. Best Infant Production: St James Preparatory School. The Nativity
Best junior production: The Mead School. A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Best middle production: LVS Ascot. Variations
Best senior production: Farlington School. Teen

Individual Performance
Best junior boy performer: Thomas Gerrish as Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The Mead School
Best junior girl performer: Rosie Robertson as Alice in Variations. LVS Ascot
Best middle/senior boy performer:  Josef Cooper as Joe in Zero One Six. Luckley House School
Best middle/senior girl performer: Isabella Corney as Ophelia in Hamlet. Portland Place School

Adjudicator’s Discretionary Awards
Reserve awards – Musical Theatre, Devised work, best costume etc and any other that the adjudicator may deem appropriate.

Best costumes & Props: Leighton Park School – A Christmas Carol
Best Devised Piece: Luckley House School – Zero One Six
Special Entertainment Award: Torwood House School – Merry Halloween
