Competition update: Considering the current situation, ISA will accept on this occasion typed entries if there is no other possibility for the pupils to scan their handwritten entries. Please specify details in the box “any special circumstances” on the entry form. We have also decided to extend the deadline for entries to Thursday 30 April.
The ISA Essay Competition is the annual opportunity for pupils at ISA Members’ schools to allow their writing skills to shine. Wordsmiths are invited to submit entries for a range of competition prizes aimed at age groups from year five through to sixth form.
Please note- Entries are no longer separated between male and female.
- Please complete one form per entry.
- Schools may submit a maximum of two entries for each of the three categories (Junior, Intermediate and Senior).
- Sixth Forms may enter six essays in total.
- Except for Sixth Form, submissions must be written in the candidate’s own handwriting, unless there are special medical or other circumstances (about which brief details must be given on the entry form
