Previously a Head Teacher of all-age boarding and day schools in both the maintained and independent sectors, (including those for children with complex learning and behavioural needs), Bill is chairman of The Education Partnership, which has for the past twenty years provided a truly comprehensive range of compliance and governance expertise to schools, (including dual registration, NMS and RSS), colleges and outdoor education/activity centres. This has included gaining approval for a material change, initial and final registration inspections. Increasingly Bill is asked to advise and guide proprietors who find themselves in very challenging situations due to inadequate, or unsatisfactory or requires improvement judgements when inspected by Ofsted (Education and Social Care) and ISI. He specialises in compliance and in enabling good schools to achieve outstanding (Ofsted) or excellent (ISI) outcomes.
Bill’s personal interests include music, magic and mountains frequently interspersed with regular visits to tea shops. He is a Vice President of the Hampshire Scout Association, a supporter of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, a member of the Magic Circle and the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
