Lizbeth Green is a Chartered Physicist, Member of the Institute of Physics and was a practising physics teacher throughout her 33-year career in both state and independent schools, as a Head of Department, Assistant Head and finally Head of Claires Court, The College, in Maidenhead for the last seven years of her career.
Her experience encompasses all aspects of managing a successful school from nursery through to sixth form. She became a team inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) in 2000 and continues to inspect for them also undertaking work for ISI Consultancy.
In recent years she has successfully developed and presented a number of courses for the Independent School Association (ISA) covering Assessment and Tracking, Developing Leadership Skills, Coaching Skills, Team-Building, School Development Planning, Junior Curriculum Development, Preparing Teaching Staff for Inspection and Think Like a Learner. Her courses are characterised by the careful consideration of current relevant research, strong practical elements, the opportunity to share ideas with other practitioners and, importantly, fun! Most of these courses have also been adapted to suit school INSET training needs and she enjoys supporting new Headteachers as a mentor.
