The course is aimed at any teachers who are involved in preparing students for applying to Oxford and Cambridge, either in their role as a subject teacher or as an Oxbridge or UCAS Co-ordinator.

Making an application to Cambridge or Oxford is always a challenge – for an aspiring student and their family, and, just as often, for academic staff supporting pupils and students in schools and colleges.

Attendees on this course will gain knowledge from a senior Admissions Tutor at Cambridge of the various elements of the application that Admissions Tutors use to come to a decision, with a particular emphasis on the Admissions Assessments/Tests and the interviews. Attendees will also be given information on how they can best prepare students both for the interview and the application more broadly through super-curricular engagement. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask any questions they have about the application process and admissions policy.

The day will be a mix of presentation, discussion, and workshop – delegates are encouraged to bring their individual questions and come ready to share their thoughts and experience.
