Kew House School is a co-educational independent senior school for students aged 11-18 years. Having opened with 60 students in September 2013, the school already has over 280 on roll today; it will grow to full capacity over the next few years with circa 550+ students. Kew House is the sister school to Ravenscourt Park and Kew Green Preparatory Schools and is owned by the Gardener Schools Group, a family company founded by Maria and Edward Gardener, former secondary school teachers.
The Directors of the Gardener Schools Group established Kew House School in the conviction that there exists an opportunity for a different kind of independent secondary school in London – academically demanding but with a modern approach to selection criteria, the flexibility of the curriculum, the shape of the school day and term and recognition of creativity and talent.
Kew House is a modern and innovative school, yet reflects many of the traditions and values established over twenty years at Ravenscourt Park and Kew Green. The pursuit of excellence in all areas of study and exploration is our hallmark. Our approach is holistic, as we believe that there can be no artificial barriers between a student’s intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual growth.
Whilst the school uses entrance exams to select its students, we give greater weighting to interviews, achievement in all areas and school references. Each year group is selected as a cohort, in which children with different aptitudes and personalities inspire and support each other.
Kew House School is a place where you would want to be – a place of learning, discovery, laughter and friendship.
