MPW is a leading fifth- and sixth-form college offering a wide range of GCSE and A level subjects in a socially relaxed yet highly academically disciplined environment. We are renowned for our bespoke approach and exceptional university placement record.
“Staff know and understand the students, the students greatly value the support they receive” state the ISI, who graded MPW London as Excellent in every category of their most recent inspection. Timetables are created on a bespoke basis for each individual and class sizes of fewer than 10 allow for plenty of individual attention. A dedicated academic support department assists students with study skills alongside their lessons.
Directors of Studies mentor students, supporting academic progress and supervising university applications and general welfare through regular meetings. Informal meetings between parents, students and tutors provide a constructive forum for feedback and improvement. “They have put themselves out to be helpful” said one parent to the Good Schools Guide.
An extensive extra-curricular programme encompasses sport, drama, Duke of Edinburgh Award, journalism and art. Careers-related and topical seminars are given by eminent speakers throughout the year and the college’s enviable South Kensington location offers easy access to museums and galleries. For those planning to venture further afield, travel scholarships are available to support adventurous or worthwhile trips.
Open Afternoons take place at least once a term and are a great opportunity for prospective students to visit MPW and meet our Heads of Department, Directors of Studies and current students. Our next Open Afternoon will be Tuesday 25th April. If attending an Open Afternoon is not convenient, please contact us to arrange a private meeting and tour of the college at a time to suit you.
