Rugby is a free-flowing game that features a combination of strength, speed, and strategy to move a ball into an opponents territory. Rugby has developed to include many different forms of the game: touch, union, league, seven-a-side and has evolved from football (i.e. soccer) often labelled the ‘game played in heaven’.

|Deadline for entries||Wednesday 31 November 2018|
|Venue||Littlegarth School, Colchester CO6 4JR|
|Time||12.30pm – 4.00pm|
|Format||Mixed Gender Contact 8 aside & Touch 8 a-side|
*Before entering this event, please ensure that you can definitely attend by checking with all departments and your Headteacher. Included in this festival are two separate tournaments, a touch rugby competition, and a contact rugby competition. If you wish to enter a team in both tournaments, you must enter two separate entry forms, specifying in both which competition you intend to enter. There will also be opportunities to receive coaching masterclasses from elite professionals and many other exciting opportunities for your pupils. Both tournaments welcome mixed gender teams.
Rules & Regulations
For the contact competition, we will be using the new Age Grady Rugby rules and RFU regulations for Under 10s. If you would like more information on these, they can be found here.
For the touch rugby tournament, we will be using the O2 Touch rules (except we will be running an 8 a-side format) that can be found by clicking here.
If you are unsure of any rules, please do get in touch.
