Sarah Lyons is an experienced Headteacher with a strong background in both independent and state education. Since 2019, she has led Highfields Independent School and Nursery with a clear focus on high standards, nurturing environments, and exceptional outcomes for children across the Early Years and primary phases. Prior to joining Highfields, Sarah was a Headteacher within a state primary academy and spent more than a decade working as a Leading Practitioner in Early Years, as well as serving as a county moderator, adviser and SENCO. Her breadth of experience has given her a deep understanding of child development, inclusive practice, curriculum leadership, and school improvement.
Sarah is passionate about delivering exceptional quality in Early Education and throughout the Primary years, with a particular commitment to ensuring every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to achieve their potential. She believes strongly in creating positive school communities where children, families, and staff work together to help every learner thrive.
