Collingwood School children perform at Young Voices concert

On Tuesday 30 January the children in Years 5 and 6 travelled to the O2 Arena to perform at a Young Voices concert with almost 8,000 other children. They spent the whole afternoon rehearsing songs and dance moves with the incredible conductor David Lawrence, before performing to a packed audience of parents in the evening. The children were very excited to perform alongside special guests Natalie Williams, Alfie Sheard and The Magnets, as well as dancing with Urban Strides.

Some of the children’s favourite songs included ‘Africa’ by Toto, ‘Castle on the Hill’ by Ed Sheeran and ‘Heroes’ by Alesso. All of the songs have been stuck in their heads ever since and I’m sure they will remember this special evening for years to come!
