Football for 400 – LVS Ascot welcome ISA Sport for Boys Football Festival
LVS Ascot in Ascot, Berkshire was the home of the annual ISA Sport Boys Football Festival in March, welcoming 48 teams from ISA schools across the UK to their beautiful 26-acre grounds.
LVS Ascot is an award winning, all-ability, independent day and boarding school that inspires boys and girls from 4 to 18 to exceed their expectations and become independent adults.
The school’s astroturf pitches were the stomping ground of the 400+ pupils involved on the day, with 16 teams represented in three age groups: U11, U13 & 15, giving the day a real festival of football feel.
Teams contested in mini leagues within their age groups before the knock out stages began, and with the Cup and Plate both up for grabs from ISA Sport there was plenty of action for everyone involved.
Luke Villers, PE Teacher at LVS Ascot & Co-organiser of the event, reflected on the ‘enormous talent’ on display throughout the day:
“It was a great day of football with over 400 boys on site and an enormous amount of talent on show. Congratulations to the winning teams.
“A big thank you to the ISA for helping us host this event, without them this wouldn’t be possible.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year as we hope to see the growth of this tournament.”
