New Head for CATS Canterbury International Boarding School
Dr. Sarah Lockyer has been appointed the new Principal of CATS Canterbury International Boarding School. Sarah joins the school following a successful tenure as Principal at Gosfield School in Essex, and prior to that as Principal of King William’s College on the Isle of Man and Acting Head at Malvern College.
Sarah is the Vice Chair of the Independent Schools Association (ISA), and until recently served as Chair. The ISA is a membership organisation which looks after the interests of over 400+ independent schools in the UK. Sarah is also a board member of the Boarding Schools Association, as well as a serving inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
With a first degree in English from the University of Manchester and a Masters degree and doctorate from the University of Missouri, Sarah enjoys the opportunity when she can to share her love of drama and literature with young people from around the world. She has extensive experience of both A levels and the International Baccalaureate, and believes passionately in the opportunities that they offer to international students.

Sarah becomes Principal of CATS Canterbury on 1 Jan 2018. James Slocombe, previously Acting Principal, will return to his role as Vice Principal.
