Red House School lives up to its excellent and innovative offer to be named finalist in ISA Awards 2022

With just two weeks to go until the ISA Awards 2022 ceremony, let’s take a closer look at one of our finalists, Red House School.

Counting on Norton, Stockton-On-Tees, as their home, Red House School are shortlisted in our ‘Excellence and Innovation in Early Years’ category. The full list of finalists and highly commended schools for this year’s 14 ISA Awards can be seen here.

To be recognised as finalists for this award, participating schools had to demonstrate the outstanding quality of their Early Years provision to earn national honours. Representing the North, one of seven regions beaming with ISA Members, Red House School join finalists from our London North and South West areas within this category.

This isn’t the only accolade that the co-educational school for 2-16 years olds have been honoured with as of late, they became the first independent school in the North East to be recognised with an award from the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools, celebrating their commitment to exceptional pastoral care.

Red House School are also working towards the Rainbow Flag Award, which encourages a whole organisation approach to LGBT+ and inclusion.

Dr Rebecca Ashcroft, Head of Red House School, reacted to news of their ISA Awards 2022 honours:

“I am absolutely delighted that we have been shortlisted and that we have been recognised as the top Early Years provider in the North.

“It is a resounding and well-deserved recognition of the incredible community we have at Red House and a national acknowledgement of our ethos, values and talented staff. A special mention goes to our EYFS Coordinator Mr Barnbrook-McKay and his dedicated team who work tremendously hard for the school and children.

“It is wonderful to be flying the flag for the North, and I know all of the staff are thrilled that we have been shortlisted as a finalist in this very prestigious and competitive category.”
