The Inaugural ISA Golf Championships Written by Lili-Rose Hunt, Dodderhill School
Golf is a fantastic competitor sport. The ISA schools golf competition was the inaugural event, held at The South Staffordshire golf club. The event ran like clockwork making for a relaxed but fun day. The organisers were fantastic always there if you needed help or advise and they had chosen a superb course with good facilities and provided lovely trophies.
It was an extremely challenging tight course with loads of bunkers and excellent greens making for a brilliant round of golf and I did my best ever score of 83 gross. What also contributed to making the day so special were the polite, talented competitors from schools all around the country, their camaraderie was faultless. It was a fantastic day, I hope we don't have to wait too long for the next competition.
Finally I just want to say a big thank to my dad, coach and my Headmistress,Mrs Mawston, for supporting me and allowing me time in the curriculum to practice. Dodderhill is a fantastic school with teachers always willing to help you develop and grow your individuality.
