Torwood House School pupils top national poetry competition
Torwood House School are proud to announce that their pupils claimed first AND second place in a national poetry competition.
The ‘Marty the Mighty Nose’ campaign saw children from across the country write poems inspired by smells. Firstly, they had to think about a memorable experience and visualise what happened including the sensations of all their senses, they focused on the smells and added descriptive vocabulary to create a unique free form poem. Torwood House are very proud of their achievements and are looking forward to next year’s competition!
