Cross Country National Finals

Responding to the award, the school said it reflects not just academic outcomes but the values at the heart of school life: knowing every child individually, supporting their wellbeing, and building a genuine love of learning. The school pointed to its small class sizes, personalised curriculum and strong family culture as key to its approach.

Across the country, independent schools care for and educate tens of thousands of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Many of these young people have multiple needs enabling them to have access to an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The ISA Specialist Provision Report highlights how important ISA member schools are to the functioning of the SEND system.

On an especially rainy afternoon, we were guided to the art classroom - a cosy escape from the weather outside. Students’ work lined every corner: colourful bursts of paint across white paper, sculptures hanging gently from the ceiling, clay leaves shaped into masks, and illustrations of purple cars etched into the pages of sketchbooks. From the moment we stepped in, it was clear this was a space where creativity was encouraged and given room to grow.
