Responding to the award, the school said it reflects not just academic outcomes but the values at the heart of school life: knowing every child individually, supporting their wellbeing, and building a genuine love of learning. The school pointed to its small class sizes, personalised curriculum and strong family culture as key to its approach.

Receiving recognition as Top Independent Preparatory School in the UK 2026 is a deeply meaningful milestone for the entire Bronte community. It reflects far more than academic outcomes, it affirms the values that sit at the heart of everything we do: our commitment to knowing every child as an individual, nurturing their wellbeing, and inspiring a genuine love of learning. As highlighted in the feature, we have always believed that children flourish when they feel safe, valued and understood, and that emotional confidence and academic ambition must go hand in hand . This award is a testament to that philosophy and to the dedication of our staff, the trust of our families, and the spirit of our pupils.

Our journey to this point has been shaped by a clear and consistent vision to create a school that feels like a second home, where relationships matter and every child is encouraged to think, explore and grow in their own way. From our small class sizes and personalised curriculum to the strong sense of family culture that runs through daily life, every element has been intentionally designed to support the whole child. We are, above all, a family school where every child is known, supported, and truly belongs. At the same time, we are committed to academic excellence and rigour, nurturing curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning.

We are incredibly proud of all that our pupils achieve each and every day, but this recognition also strengthens our resolve to continue evolving, ensuring that each child who walks through our gates leaves not only prepared for their next school, but ready for life.
