Leading with Clarity and Compassion in Turbulent Times
In today’s complex and often unpredictable world, great leadership isn’t just about managing change — it’s about leading with purpose, resilience, clarity and compassion.
This one-day leadership development event offers you space to reflect, recharge, and reconnect with the leader you want to be — and need to be — for your teams, your school, and yourself.
Designed for current and aspiring senior leaders, including Deputies, Assistant Heads and Pastoral/Academic/Curricular leaders, this course introduces a powerful framework for sustainable leadership and provides tools to help you lead with greater confidence, agility and impact.
“Leadership is not about being in charge. It is about taking care of those in your charge.” – Simon Sinek
This day won’t answer every question, but it will give you a powerful starting point to reconnect with your why, sharpen your how, and strengthen your who.
Because when you lead with clarity and compassion — and with intention — you not only survive turbulent times. You bring others through with strength.
This day offers a powerful pause for personal and professional growth. We will introduce a multi-layered approach to leadership development that draws from:
The aim is not to cover everything, but to start something meaningful: a journey to becoming a more connected, energised, and resilient leader who builds the same strength in others.
Rather than trying to cover everything in depth, this day is thoughtfully designed to introduce key leadership lenses that you can explore further beyond the day. You’ll gain insight and practical takeaways through four themed sessions:
1. Strategic Core – Leading with Focus
Clarify your leadership identity, priorities, and purpose within your organisation’s bigger picture. We’ll explore the RLE framework, how to connect strategy with daily leadership actions, and how to navigate the uncertainty spectrum with confidence.
2. Self Core – Leading with Resilience
Explore neuroscience and physical intelligence to understand how you show up as a leader — mentally, emotionally and physically. Learn how to manage your energy, regulate stress, and recharge effectively.
3. Purpose Core – Leading with Meaning
Reflect on what drives you. Explore how personal values, belief systems and moral compass shape the way you lead — especially in moments of pressure or change. This is where you centre yourself for sustainable leadership.
4. Connection Core – Leading with Others
Unpack how culture is built, teams are sustained, and trust is earned. You’ll explore how to build resilient teams and create ‘tribes’ where people thrive, feel safe, and succeed together — especially in turbulent times.
Why This Day Matters:
This is not about ticking boxes or sitting through slides. It’s a day of connection, reflection, insight and inspiration — a springboard for personal and professional leadership growth.
Come with:
You’ll leave with practical insights, greater self-awareness, and a refreshed sense of direction for yourself and your school.
