This focused one day training is designed specifically for Designated Safeguarding Leads and Deputy DSLs working in independent schools who want clarity, confidence and practical direction in an increasingly complex safeguarding landscape.
Beth brings nearly 20 years of frontline experience supporting adults and children at risk. Through her work with Ella Savell-Boss Ltd Safeguarding Consultancy, she supports a number of independent schools across the UK as well as international schools. The team has particular experience in contexts where affluence can mask vulnerability, including affluent neglect, complex family dynamics and high expectation environments. This means the training speaks directly to the realities DSLs face in independent settings, rather than offering generic advice.

Beth is a safeguarding consultant and trainer working for Ella Savell-Boss Ltd Safeguarding Consultancy.
The company work with a wide range of education settings, charities and youth organisations both UK-wide and internationally.
Beth has nearly 20 years’ experience working with adults and children at risk – having worked with people with addictions, refugees and asylum seekers, ex-offenders, survivors of human trafficking and children experiencing sexual exploitation.
From working in the charity sector, Beth moved into safeguarding within education. She has worked within schools in some of the most deprived areas of the UK before coming on board at ESB Ltd. Beth’s passion is to demystify safeguarding and to ensure that every professional in their specific role feels confident and empowered to play their part.
Ella Savell-Boss Ltd. have worked with over 50 schools, academies and organisations providing safeguarding supervision to over 150 professionals both within group and 1-1 sessions. We also provide training on a wide range of safeguarding and pastoral issues as well as safeguarding reviews and audits, policy-writing and much more.
We prioritise ongoing experience of on-the-ground safeguarding to ensure our advice and support is realistic and current, based on the challenges of safeguarding in schools and organisations. For instance, currently members of the team work regularly within a secondary special school, a large primary school, an inner-city girls’ academy and a large religious organisation to provide safeguarding support.
