[Update: This course will cover the recently published new draft RSHE guidance and what this might mean for schools]
Many schools work hard to implement a comprehensive well-being program that meets the statutory requirements for Health Education and Relationships and Sex education. Delivering this content in an age-appropriate way, and in a manner in which young people can take their learning and apply it effectively to their own lives can be challenging. This training aims to explore a different approach to PSHE/Health Education/RSE with the self-awareness, self-worth, and emotional intelligence of young people at its heart.
Aims of the course:

Rachel read biology at Cardiff University before training to be an officer in the British Army at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. She then moved into teaching completing a PGCE at the University of London, Goldsmiths. She worked in south-east London before being appointed as a biology teacher at Cheltenham Ladies College. While at Cheltenham Ladies college she held other roles including Housemistress and PSHE coordinator.
More recently Rachel has worked as an independent PSHE consultant. She has been integral in planning and writing whole school PSHE schemes as well as providing schools with a more bespoke provision. She regularly trains teachers and other staff on the effective and safe delivery of RSHE.
Rachel is passionate about developing strong mental health in young people and assists school in developing well-being programs that not only meet the statutory outcomes for RSHE but also help young people to understand and develop their own mental health, resilience, and self-worth.
