This course combines theory and practical application to help delegates embed outdoor learning across the primary curriculum. In our inspirational school grounds, delegates will have opportunities both to observe and to join in sessions including literacy, maths and project-based learning.
We will explicitly connect outdoor approaches to aspects of the ISI framework, helping delegates articulate how outdoor learning can strengthen provision.
Delegates will leave with:
- A clear understanding of how outdoor learning supports many elements of the ISI inspection framework, including educational quality, pupil well-being, and holistic development
- Confidence and practical strategies to take literacy, maths, science, project work, and environmental studies outdoors (EYFS through KS2)
- A repertoire of creative, cross-curricular outdoor learning ideas for problem-solving, language development, collaborative learning, enquiry and resilience
