Dr Jeffery Quaye OBE appointed as CEO of Arco Academy
Arco Academy is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Jeffery Quaye OBE PhD as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1st September 2026. Dr Quaye brings a wealth of experience in educational leadership, school improvement, and policy, alongside a deep commitment to raising aspirations and improving life chances for young people. His career spans senior leadership roles across high-performing schools and multi-academy trusts, as well as national contributions to education through his work with the Department for Education and Ofsted.
This appointment marks an exciting new chapter for Arco Academy, as the organisation continues to strengthen its distinctive sports-specialist curriculum and commitment to excellence, inclusion, and opportunity for every student. Dr Quaye’s expertise in curriculum design, assessment, and leadership development, combined with his passion for equity and high expectations, makes him exceptionally well placed to lead the Arco Academy forward.
Dr Quaye graduated with a first-class BEng degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire and holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Mathematics Education from Brunel University of London. He is an advanced skills Teacher, and his research interests include Bourdieu’s social field theory and issues of social class, gender, race, and equity in mathematics education.
