New Chief Executive Officer at ISA
The Independent Schools Association has a new Chief Executive Officer. Rudi Eliott Lockhart has been with us for the last month during a handover period with outgoing Chief Executive, Neil Roskilly, but will now assume full responsibility.
For the past five years Rudi has been Chief Executive of the Religious Education Council of England and Wales (REC), a charity that works to ensure that all pupils in all schools receive high quality RE. The REC is an umbrella body that brings together 67 member organisations, both from across the full range of faith and belief communities, and from organisations of professionals working in RE.
Previously he spent seven years at the Independent Schools Council, where he was Deputy General Secretary and ran the research department. He has undertaken research at Cambridge University in medieval history and at the UCL Institute of Education on the role of religion in independent schools with a particular focus on the experience of Jewish pupils in the 1960s and 1970s.
We are delighted to welcome Rudi to the ISA, and look forward to working with him as we continue to offer outstanding support to Members, and build on both the considerable growth of the Association over the last ten years, and its significant contribution to the education landscape in the UK and beyond.
