Excitement all around as Castle House School joins Haberdashers’ family

At the start of the 23/24 academic year it was announced that Castle House School had joined the family of The Worshipful Company of Haberdashers’, a network now grown to 19 schools.

Haberdashers’ Castle House is a co-educational Nursery and Prep school based in Shropshire. It is a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children which champions individual talents and passions.

It’s not surprise that this news has been met with overwhelming support from parents and everyone involved, the school’s ethos and directions will remain the same as always, a family-centred approach, with the added benefits that come with joining the Haberdashers’ group of schools.

For Castle House, this brings an ever-stronger relationship with local grammar school Haberdashers’ Adams and their extensive outreach programme. This programme opens up outstanding facilities to Castle House pupils, a range of events and activities – such as mentoring, and invaluably an introduction to secondary school life.

Ian Sterling, Headteacher of Haberdashers’ Castle House, is excited by the opportunities this will open for students in Shropshire and chances to collaborate with colleagues in the state sector:

“We now have the opportunities for sharing knowledge and experiences with the other eighteen schools across the Company. We very much look forward to being able to take our children to visit Haberdashers’ Hall in London so they can experience this amazing place to participate in education focused activities.

“I am also very mindful that in this time of change across the landscape of education, that here is an opportunity to demonstrate excellent practice when the state and independent school sectors come together and work together in a collaboratively way.”
