St Winefride's Independent Roman Catholic School
Situated in the town centre, St. Winefride's School has often been referred to as Shrewsbury's 'Little Gem'. Founded in 1868 by the Sisters of Mercy, the school has been furnishing children with precious opportunities, experiences and memories for over 150 years. Children can start in our Kindergarten aged 3 and remain with us until age 11, where many then move up to secondary school, having achieved scholarships in a number of disciplines. Our dedicated staff provide a secure environment and a curriculum designed to stimulate on all levels of development; spiritual, emotional, physical and academic.
