The course will cover:
- how to build and sustain a successful safeguarding team, focusing on whole school strategies and internal training programmes
- using case studies and scrutinising preventative and reactionary measures, provide a template for dealing with simple and complex safeguarding cases
- a focus on staff welfare when facing difficult or harrowing safeguarding situations
- how, as independent school leaders, to work effectively with the local authority
- from an inspection perspective, how to ensure that good practice is evidenced and transparent in the culture of the school
