The course is for any member of staff who has a role in staff management & leadership, development of teacher CPD, and a responsibility for teaching and learning. The course will be relevant for staff in primary, prep or secondary school age ranges.
If you have been in the teaching profession for any length of time the terms ‘performance review’, ‘appraisal’, ‘performance evaluation’, ‘professional assessment’ or other such combinations may seem familiar. So will the sense of apprehension, disappointment or frustration that often accompanied these formulaic processes, alongside many tales of high stakes accountability measures, have negative impacts upon teacher wellbeing?
Fortunately there is a now great deal of thought and debate being undertaken in how to support teacher development, in an environment of collegiality and professional respect and collaboration.
The course will enable delegates, in the light of emerging best practice, to review and redesign professional development and management strategies to most effectively support staff and school development.
