Who should attend?
This workshop is for administrative staff who are new to the role of PA/EA/or Office Manager, or those who are currently administrators or secretaries that would like to progress to a PA/EA/Office Manager role in the near future.
Being the EA/PA or Office Manger within a school is a pivotal role, full of pressures and an ever increasing portfolio of tasks. This work shop is about being effective within that role, marketing yourself, and having the tools to support yourself and your Head/Principal in all school situations.
We will look at your role within the school, perceptions about “school support staff”, how to rebrand yourself, the importance of having a wide skill set in the current market. We look at key areas such as inspection and emergency situations and how you can support the Head and the school.
The programme will include:
- The changing role of the PA/EA/Senior Office Administrator and key skills needed
- The power of positive communication
- Establishing the role of the PA within the school
- Dealing with everyday pressures and emergencies
- Supporting SMT in the run up to Inspection
