The course will identify 4 key phases of a critical incident pathway and explore who is best placed to make decisions in each of these. The police functional decision-making approach of Gold / Silver / Bronze will be explained and how this relates to a Senior Leadership Team.
The practical application of all concepts will be explored throughout the day using table scenario’s, giving participants the confidence to react calmly and correctly to sudden, dramatic events.
Aims of course
To ensure that participants have a clear understanding of a likely critical incident pathway and to create and document the local structures and procedures needed to manage events effectively.
