Suitable for: Any staff who are responsible for tackling the issues created by GDPR
This course will provide delegates with an in depth overview of the new data protection law, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and how it impacts independent schools.
GDPR came into force in May 2018 and replaced the current Data Protection Act 1998. With the headline of a maximum £17m fine, or 4% of turnover (whichever is greater) there is good reason to be concerned. Schools hold vast amounts of personal data and there are a number of important changes, so it is vital that schools are ready.
- Understanding the GDPR
- Understanding the principles of document management (PIMS) and data security (ISMS)
- Mandatory records required under the GDPR accountability framework
- Overview of important actions to take back to your school
