Schools are pressurized environments, environments in which teachers and school leaders constantly feel the pressure to perform and succeed. Pressure, if not kept in check, can easily become stress and this can have a significant impact on the well-being of individuals and on schools as a whole.

Understanding the causes of work-related stress, especially in the context of schools, and reflecting on actions that can be taken to reduce stress, can help make your school a happier and more productive environment.

In this course we will look at a range of factors that cause teachers and leaders stress before considering practical measures to manage and reduce work-related stress in schools.

Course tutor: Dr Mark Whalley
