This course aims to give participants an understanding of offender behaviour and how it can impact a safer recruitment process. It will detail all aspects of best practice in safer recruitment and a safer working culture. Participants will have the opportunity to practice and hone the skills required to recruit safely, including interview skills.
- To gain a good understanding of safer recruitment practices to ensure that the best quality decisions are made
- To give participants an awareness of the risks to children in a school setting
- To gain skills appropriate to a manager who recruits staff to work with children in schools
- To gain an insight into the assessment process and using safeguarding competencies to ask “challenging questions”
