Leading the academic element of a school or school section goes far beyond agreeing the work of the school timetable. As a nation we are in the middle of a debate of what the nature of a child’s educational experience should be and its relevance to the social, economic and cultural challenges they will face. This course begins with asking some fundamental questions about the ‘what and the why’ and takes delegates through the process of curriculum coherence, implementation and finally by asking “how well are we doing?”.
